As the largest developer and manufacturer of security systems in Europe, Ajax Systems releases approximately 30 unique devices and 50 major software updates annually. Such a remarkable pace has its drawbacks. The portfolio becomes less clear as it grows. Therefore, we are introducing a new structure: simpler, clearer, and more intuitive.
We're introducing new categories and product lines to ensure the Ajax portfolio is crystal clear for all our partners. Furthermore, we're preparing it to accommodate emerging products within Ajax's fast-paced environment.
There are four new categories. There are four new categories. These are Burglary protection , Fire and life safety , Comfort and automation and Video surveillance . The water leak prevention products are part of the category Comfort and automation . Burglary protection, our largest category of professional devices, is further subdivided into two lines: Baseline and Superior.
"
Baseline This now only includes the wireless Jeweller burglar alarms. This no longer applies to other product categories. Superior Includes wireless Jeweller devices and wired Fibra devices, designed for high-profile projects. This product line now also includes special hub models: Hub Hybrid (2G/4G) , soon to be called Superior Hub Hybrid (2G/4G) .
The main difference between the two lines is that the Superior products require higher training requirements. Therefore, they are only available to accredited Ajax Systems partners, i.e., those who have successfully completed a special training program in the Ajax Academy have completed.
No, that's not necessary. Partners who were previously accredited to work with wired or wireless products will retain this status. The Ajax team will reissue the certificates to confirm the accreditation. There will be a single certificate for all Superior products, both wired and wireless.
Fibra, like Jeweller, is now an indicator of the communications technology. It is currently used only for wired Ajax products. This prevents confusion about what Fibra stands for.
Yes, in an Ajax system, you can combine devices from all product categories: Intrusion Protection (Superior and Baseline), Video Surveillance, Fire and Life Safety, or Comfort and Automation. Create the system that meets your needs and manage it from a single interface.
Yes, the devices in the Superior product line will gradually be renamed. The "Superior" at the beginning of the name will make the products easy to recognize. The names of the Baseline products will not change.
The new layout will not change the products themselves. It will, however, affect the Ajax website, product packaging, and marketing materials. The SKUs of the renamed devices will also be adjusted; we'll share more about this soon.
We are only changing the way the Ajax portfolio is organized, not the products themselves. This will not affect compliance with standards. Conformity certificates for products with the new name will be issued in accordance with the standard requirements. We will keep you informed of any changes.
The reorganization process has already begun. However, it will take time to fully implement the changes. We plan to complete the transition by the end of 2025.
The Ajax team understands that changes aren't always easy. However, they are necessary to streamline our portfolio and welcome all the new products. We hope you share our enthusiasm for this change. For more information, please contact your Ajax manager.
