Security incidents don't just happen during the day. To ensure organizations can protect their locations, assets, and people 24/7, Hikvision has developed a new generation of ultra-low-light video imaging technologies: DarkFighterS and DarkFighterX.
Organizations need to ensure their locations, assets, and people are secured and protected 24/7, 365 days a year. This requires security technologies that can secure perimeter walls and fences and deliver crystal-clear, full-color video footage of security incidents, even in dimly lit areas or at night. That's where Hikvision's ultra-low-light security cameras come in.
To provide 24x7 site security at industrial sites, logistics parks, ports and airports, and a range of other environments, Hikvision has developed two innovative technologies, DarkFighterS and DarkFighterX.
1. DarkFighterS: Maximum security with 'smart' lighting options
Hikvision's DarkFighterS cameras utilize three key technological innovations to enhance security in low-light conditions. These features all begin with an "S," hence the name DarkFighterS. They are:
Hikvision's surprising Low-Light Imaging
which can gather more light to produce brighter images, and uses a fixed F1.0 lens and advanced sensors to dramatically increase vibrancy and clarity in extreme low light.
Hikvision's innovative, industry-leading Super Confocal Lenses
Designed with micron-level precision, this means the focus point for both visual light and infrared images is virtually identical, which not only prevents image blur but also ensures master-level focus and long-lasting, high-definition images.
Hikvision's Smart Hybrid Light technology
This allows the security cameras to record in IR while remaining silent. However, when an incident occurs, the camera's "Smart" mode activates an additional white light and begins recording in full color using the visible light spectrum. This capability has several key advantages. First, the security cameras can maintain infrared illumination at night and record discreetly in low-light conditions without revealing the camera's location. Second, the cameras often deter potential intruders and stop them in their tracks when the additional white light is activated, helping to prevent property loss or damage. Third, all incidents are recorded in full color and detail because the camera's additional white light is automatically activated.
Examples of Hikvision DarkFighterS products include DarkFighterS DeepinView Moto Varifocal Bullet Cameras, 4MP Varifocal Dome Camera with DarkFighter, and 4MP Varifocal Bullet Cameras with DarkFighter. These security cameras are ideal for scenarios and applications such as commercial buildings and industrial estates, particularly where little or no movement is expected at night and where discretion is required to ensure that potential offenders are unaware of the security cameras' location.
2. DarkFighterX – Sharp, full-color images for large locations, areas, and scenarios in near-total darkness
For large areas and applications, DarkFighterX technology offers Hikvision's most powerful night vision capabilities. This ultra-low-light technology, in particular, supports full-color, crystal-clear video images down to just 0.0002 lux.
Hikvision security cameras equipped with DarkFighterX video imaging technology use a large-aperture lens and dual sensors to capture and combine visible light video and infrared-based images. By combining data from the two sensors using a technology called Bi-Spectrum Image Fusion, these cameras can capture full-color, high-definition images—and even the license plates of vehicles moving at high speed, in conditions of near-total darkness.
Because DarkFighterX is built into 2, 4, and 8-megapixel Hikvision Speed Dome cameras and DeepinView multi-sensor bullet cameras, organizations simultaneously benefit from a wide range of other security features, including optical zoom, fast focus, and the ability to track moving people or objects in the camera’s field of view. This makes them ideal for a range of large scenarios and applications, such as traffic management and enforcement, and security in vast areas like city squares, streets, farms, and much more.
